How to Print a Vinted Label at Home on a Normal A4 Printer
You do not need a thermal label printer to post Vinted parcels. An ordinary home printer works fine. Here is how to do it without wasting paper or ink.
What you need
- A normal A4 printer.
- Plain paper, or A4 sticker paper if you want a peel-and-stick label.
- Clear tape, scissors, or both.
Step by step
- Open the label from your Vinted order. It opens as a PDF.
- Print it, ideally cropped to just the label so you are not printing a mostly empty page. Crop My Label crops it to the label and lets you download or print it.
- Cut the label out, leaving a small border.
- Stick it flat on the parcel. With plain paper, cover the whole label with clear tape so the barcode is protected and stays readable.
Sticker paper or plain paper
Sticker paper is neater and quicker, since you peel and stick. Plain paper is cheaper, and with clear tape over the top it works perfectly well. Either is fine as long as the barcode is flat, clean and not creased.
Save paper and ink
The A4 PDF contains instructions and white space. If you print it as it is, most of the page is wasted. Cropping first gives you the label only. If you sell regularly, a 4×6 thermal printer is cheaper over time, which we compare in the best label printer for Vinted.
Do not forget QR codes
If your order has a QR code rather than a label, you may not need to print at all. See sending a Vinted order without a printer.
Quick answers
Can I print a Vinted label in black and white? Yes, as long as the barcode is dark and clear.
Does it need to be a certain size? It must stay readable. Do not shrink the barcode so small that it will not scan.
Where do I put it on the parcel? On the largest flat side, with nothing covering the barcode and no seams or folds running through it.
