Vinted Royal Mail QR Code Not Working? Fixes for Every Common Problem

A Royal Mail QR code that will not work, or is not there at all, is stressful when a parcel is waiting. Almost every case comes down to one of the problems below.

The code will not scan

  • On your phone: turn the brightness right up, clean the screen and make sure the whole code is visible.
  • Printed: if you printed the whole A4 page, the code is probably tiny and faint. Print the code on its own, large, and it scans far better. Crop My Label does this on a 4×6.
  • Still no luck: ask staff to try again or to enter the details another way. If the counter system itself is down, that is outside your control.

The code has expired

Check the expiry date shown in the Digital shipping label window. If it has passed, reopen the code from the order and see whether a fresh one is available. Details are in how long a Royal Mail QR code lasts.

There is no QR code on the order

Not every Royal Mail order shows a QR code. Look for a full label instead and print that. If you cannot find either, the button to look for is Open QR code, found on the sold order near the shipping details, not on the listing. If it is still missing, contact Vinted support from the order.

You only see a QR code and no label

That is normal. The code is the label. See what a digital label means on Vinted if you want it explained.

The drop-off point will not accept it

Check the drop-off options Vinted lists for your order, because not every nearby shop handles Royal Mail QR codes. Our guide to how to scan a Royal Mail QR code covers where to take it.

Prevent most problems

Post before the expiry date, keep brightness up, and print the code large rather than shrunk on an A4 page. Those three habits fix most failures.
