Vinted Label Printing on Two Pages, Cut Off or Too Small? How to Fix It
Most Vinted label printing problems come from one thing: the label PDF is laid out on a big page, and your printer is trying to squeeze that page onto something smaller. Find your symptom below for the fix.
It prints on two pages, or wastes a blank label
Why: the page is bigger than your label stock, or the sizes do not match between the printer and the print dialog, so the printer feeds an extra label.
Fix:
- Crop the PDF to just the label before printing.
- Set the paper size to 4×6 in the printer’s own settings and in the print dialog. They must agree.
- Set margins to none.
- If a blank second label still appears, drop the scale to about 95%. A hair of white border keeps everything on one label.
- In the print dialog, set Pages to just page 1.
It prints tiny in the middle of the label
Why: the printer has shrunk the whole A4 page, instructions and all, to fit a 4×6 label. The actual label ends up a fraction of the size, and the barcode may be too small to scan.
Fix: crop to the label first, so the label itself fills the 4×6. Shrinking the page is never the answer. See what size a Vinted label is for why this happens.
It is cut off at the edges
Why: the label is printing at full size on stock that is a little smaller, or your printer cannot print right to the edge.
Fix: in Chrome’s print dialog, open More settings and change Scale to fit the page or printable area, or set a custom scale around 95%. On a normal printer, make sure the paper size is A4, not Letter.
It comes out sideways
Why: some labels are laid out sideways on the page. InPost labels are a common example.
Fix: rotate the label before printing, not in the printer driver, which can rotate the whole page and make things worse. Keep the print orientation set to portrait.
It is faded, patchy or the barcode will not scan
Why: on a thermal printer, usually the print darkness is too low, or the labels are old or not direct thermal. On a normal printer, low ink or draft mode.
Fix: turn up the darkness or print quality in the printer settings, and use fresh 4×6 direct thermal labels. On a normal printer, switch off draft mode. A clean, sharp barcode matters more than anything else on the label.
Fix most of these at once
Crop My Label handles the usual causes for you in Chrome. It crops the PDF to just the label, turns it upright, fits it to a 4×6 and prints it on a single page. If your printer still spills onto a second label, change the print size in the extension’s settings (95% by default) and it remembers it for next time.
For printer-specific settings, see printing on a Rollo, Zebra or Polono. If you print on paper, see printing a Vinted label on a normal printer.
Quick answers
Why is my Vinted label printing on two pages? The page size and your label size do not match. Crop to the label, set 4×6 everywhere, and use about 95% scale.
Why is my Vinted label so small? The whole A4 page is being shrunk onto your label. Crop first.
Should I print at 100% or “fit to page”? For a cropped 4×6 label on 4×6 stock, 100% or just under. For an uncropped A4 page, crop it rather than fitting it.
